Regional transportation planning, based on macroscopic modeling
DVRPC is the regional planning agency of the Philadelphia region (USA) with 5.5. million people. Wolfgang Scherr contributed to the development of the regional travel forecasting model; he led the migration to the VISUM software. In this project we were the first to use GTFS and OSM data to build the transport supply input for a travel demand model which is applied regional planning, travel demand forecasting and appraisal of infrastructure projects-
